About the Event
We have all the things you need to mend, repair or add color to a piece of clothing.
Don't cover up that hole, make it beautiful. Bring a cloth item or practice on one of our scraps.
Tools, thread, fabric scraps and inspiration will be provided. Hang out and craft with other crafty folk.
Sewing machines will be on hand for more tricky mending.
Every month we are hosting a Visible Mending workshop where you can mend a piece of clothing, accessory or practice on a scrap. All the tools and supplies will be provided for hand stitching, applique, patch making as well as sewing machines. Repairing clothes is an easy and effective way to reduce waste.
This month, we are highlighting Darning. Darning is a technique for fixing a hole in socks or sweaters. If you have items waiting to be darned or want to learn an new technique, join us.
This is a free event. All materials and tools are provided. Materials are 100% post consumer meaning we use only reclaimed, recycled or donated items. Open to all ages, but best for those familiar with how to use a needle.
