About the Event
Punch needle art is a super simple form of embroidery which uses a large needle-like tool to punch loops of yarn into your chosen fabric. Punch needles are a fun and easy way to add embroidery thread or yarn to a piece of cloth. At this workshop, you will be able to play with punch needles, learning the basics.
Tacoma Sewing Club & Crafting Workshop

Sew Club Tacoma is a “book club style” sewing club designed to grow Tacoma’s sewing community. Sew Club Tacoma is an all-inclusive, safe, and encouraging space where ALL sewing enthusiasts are welcome from every level of the craft!
During meetings at Tacoma Art Museum’s Library Space (2nd floor), on third Thursdays, beginners are encouraged to bring their sewing machines to receive project assistance.
More third Thursday crafting opportunities:
Remakery Tacoma will host free workshops alongside Sew Club Tacoma, focused on developing mending and sewing skills. Come and learn a new craft! These workshops are open to all ages but are better suited for those familiar with needles and scissors. All materials and tools are provided. Materials are 100% post-consumer, meaning we use only reclaimed, recycled, or donated things.
No registration is required!
We look forward to seeing you there!
