About the Event

Patrons with a ticket to Utopian Garden can return to attend a workshop.

At this workshop you will have everything needed to make a nature inspired patch from reused and reclaimed materials. All fabric, thread, tools and inspiration will be provided. Come create a tiny piece of art that can help mend a hole or jazz up a backpack or jacket.

Learn a little more about ways to utilize existing materials in new ways and reduce waste.

A little about Utopian Garden: Enter a fantastic state-of-the-art projection experience celebrating art, science, and nature. Utopian Garden is a place where you can play in a stunning fantasy realm, brought to life by the designers of flora&faunavisions from Berlin, Germany. Fun for all ages, Utopian Garden is a joyful, colorful, mind-blowing journey that inspires and uplifts all who participate. The dynamic multi-sensory audio-visual landscape transports you to a world you’ve never seen before, and kindles the creativity to build a better future. This journey is a time and a place to explore, experiment, or to observe the beauty of co-creation. Move around the room and interact with the garden, or sit comfortably on a bench to take it all in. Come see for yourself! Utopian Garden kindles creativity and curiosity with learning opportunities for everyone in a stunning, simulatedenvironment. Influenced by ideas of revered visionaries ranging from Ada Lovelace and Carl Linnaeus, to Claude Monet, and many others. Following a guided storyline, participants actively build their journey through Utopian Garden, interacting with dynamic projections in beautiful visual scenes focused on art, science, and nature - all without the hassle of VR headsets. One portion of the experience examines creativity and beauty using AI as a smart design for the future. After the tour, and to further activate imagination and understanding, guests are invited to participate in hands-on creativeworkshops adjacent to the exhibit. The educational workspace focuses on art, science, and nature activities geared towards sustainability and the environment.
