About the Event

At this event you will be able to sew a basic tote bag. We will also have donated quilt blocks on hand to sew onto the tote for fun.

This is a free workshop that is open to all ages but are better suited for those familiar with how to use a sewing machine. All materials and tools are provided. Materials are 100% post-consumer, meaning we use only reclaimed, recycled, or donated things.

Tacoma Sewing Club & Crafting Workshop

@ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Sew Club Tacoma is a “book club style” sewing club designed to grow Tacoma’s sewing community. Sew Club Tacoma is an all-inclusive, safe, and encouraging space where ALL sewing enthusiasts are welcome from every level of the craft!

During meetings participants will take turns sharing their makes and can seek guidance and present their views on sewing processes.

On third Thursdays, at Tacoma Art Museum’s Library Space (2nd floor) beginners are encouraged to bring their sewing machines to receive project assistance.

More third Thursday crafting opportunities:

Remakery Tacoma will host free workshops alongside Sew Club Tacoma, focused on developing mending and sewing skills. Come and learn a new craft!
