About the Event
Darning is a traditional yet awesome mending technique that is used to repair holes and keep your socks longer. Unlike a patch, darning aims to fill a hole with lost material, not simply cover it up.
Bring your socks, hats, sweaters or other knitwear that needs repair. We can cover traditional, honeycomb and scotch darning.
Darning is a technique for fixing a hole in socks or sweaters. If you have items waiting to be darned or want to learn a new technique, join us.
This is a free event. All materials and tools are provided. Materials are 100% post-consumer meaning we use only reclaimed, recycled, or donated items. Open to all ages, but best for those familiar with how to use a needle.
